Back on the bike

It’s been a while.
In fact it’s been five months since I was last able to get out on the bike due to one reason or another.

But today I managed to crack over 120 miles of the North Devon & Cornwall coast as I headed down to Padstow with eight friends.

Now I don’t know about you, but when I haven’t been out on the bike for a while you get a little rusty.

Not so much that you lose your skills but you do get a bit of skill fade.
For me it’s more the timing your tip in points for corners. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve been driving around in a van all winter.

The other thing that gets me is the way my bike accelerates. It’s pretty mind bending but it won’t take long for my brain to readjust to how fast it picks up and takes off out of corners.

One thing that I was taking a mental note of all ride was the feel and performance of the tyres.

I’m currently running Bridgestone S20’s that came fitted when I bought it. They’ve been good tyres but I’ve decided I wanted to go for something different when I book it in for its service.

I’ve never never used Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa III’s and have decided to go with those.

Looking forward to getting out and giving them a review for ya.
