Anyone who’s ever had a pair of Alpinestars Supertech R boots will tell you that they’re a great boot.

They fit great, they give me a sense of security should any bad happen, after all these boots have been tested in by the top riders in the world in MotoGP, World Superbikes and the Isle of Man TT.

I’m currently on my forth pair and have never had a problem. Until now!

The lace on the inner boot snapped. Not once, but twice!!

The first time it happened I took them back to the store I bought them from who sent them off to Alpinstars who promptly fixed them and returned them to me as good as new.

Two years and a massive amount of miles later it happened again.

As you can imagine I was a little annoyed but I took the photo above and sent Alpinestars an email explaining the situation.

They promptly sent me some replacement laces which I was happy with.

All I needed to do was remove the snapped lace from the boot. Thread the new one in and add the locking slide. I then tied the ends together as above and reattached the velcro tab. Boots back in business again.

So hard of to the customer service department at Aplinestars for being helpful in resolving this little issue. As mentioned in on my fourth pair of Supertech R’s and I’ve only ever had one problem and that was on the above boot which are about 3 years old and have seen plenty of miles in rain and shine.

And when I’m due another pair I’ll definitely be buying another pair.
